UPDATE: 1 Driver Dead After Semi Rear-Ends Semi And Bursts Into Flames

Update 9/18/18: Vigo County Coroner Dr. Susan Amos and the Indiana State Police on Monday evening identified the driver as 26-year-old Gurvinder Singh of Ontario, Canada. Identification was confirmed through the office of forensic pathologist Dr. Roland Kohr.

Singh was driving for Sun Transportation Systems of Ontario, Canada and was hauling dry freight.

Update 9/16/18: Indiana State Police (ISP)  has been unable to identify the driver who lost his life in a fiery crash along I-70 on Friday night. The rig the victim was driving rear-ended another semi-truck driven by 67-year-old Oscar Martinez of Cypress, Texas, as Martinez was slowing due to traffic up ahead. ISP has released new images of the scene and we share them with you courtesy of Sgt. Joe Watts. ISP will use dental records in an attempt to identify the victim, but believe he was driving for a company based in Canada. Authorities have yet to release the name of the company, but say they have been in touch with them.

Vigo County, IndianaWTHI-TV 10 is reporting that one driver has died after a fiery crash along I-70 at the 3 mile marker in Vigo County, Indiana, Friday night. Authorities say a semi rear-ended another semi. The semi that struck the other from behind immediately burst into flames, and sadly, that driver lost his life. However, authorities are still uncertain if there was a second person in that truck and the crash is still under investigation.
