ALERT: State of Emergency Declared in Wisconsin Amid Ongoing Rioting
Kenosha, WI – All truckers operating in and through Wisconsin should be advised that the state is now officially under an emergency declaration due to ongoing rioting.
On Tuesday, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers signed an executive order (EO) declaring a state of emergency after rioting continues following a police-involved shooting on Sunday.
The EO calls on the National Guard to deploy in an effort to protect “critical infrastructure and cultural institutions.”
Tonight, and in the days ahead, if you are going to protest, please do so peacefully and safely. Please do not allow the actions of a few distract us from the work we must do together to demand justice, equity, and accountability.

Gov. Evers’ order will allow for 250 National Guard members to be deployed to Kenosha County, which is the epicenter of the rioting and looting.
“Any Guard members called to active duty may only be used to provide support to local law enforcement and to protect critical infrastructure and cultural institutions necessary for the well-being of the community and to provide support to first responders such as the Kenosha Fire Department,” the EO states.
Also as part of the EO, National Guard members may not be used to “impede the ability of people to peacefully protest or impede the ability of the media to report on the situation.”
For a second straight night on Monday, hundreds of people outraged over the shooting of 29-year-old Jacob Blake took to the streets of Kenosha setting vehicles and businesses ablaze and clashing with police officers.
Rioters also targeted police vehicles by hurling Molotav cocktails and reportedly broke into the courthouse and set it on fire as well.

The shooting incident was caught on video and shows Blake resisting arrest when at least one police officer opened fire striking him in the back multiple times.
Wow. This Black man was shot several times in the back by @KenoshaPolice today. He was getting into his car after apparently breaking up a fight between two women. He’s in critical condition now. We demand JUSTICE! #BlackLivesMatter pic.twitter.com/I1reDEp4nw

According to Blake’s attorney, Benjamin Crump, he is paralyzed after bullets severed his spinal cord.
“It is going to take a miracle for Jacob Blake Jr. to ever walk again,” Crump said at a press conference on Tuesday.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is investigating the shooting and the officers involved have been placed on leave.
Amid the unrest, a curfew is being enforced east of I-94 from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Wednesday.
Truckers are urged to avoid the area or operate with extreme caution.
Transportation Nation Network will continue to follow the story closely.

The National Guard? the guys being pelted with bricks and 1/4 sticks of dynamite? Meanwhile, Kenosha is being burned and looted to the ground. How about they do something about that? Like maybe round up and arrest the white democrat marxist perps? That might just be a step in the right direction…
In a few more days, Kenosha will consist of one lone courthouse amongst a pile of ashes. Not the Kenosha I knew in my youth. Are there any men left in that town? Any?
