Arrest Made After Pickup Truck And Big Rig Tangle
Greenland, New Hampshire – New Hampshire State Police (NHSP) reported a scary crash involving a semi-truck along Interstate 95 in Greenland early Thursday morning has resulted in the arrest of a motorist.
NHSP said Kyle Lehoullier, 23, of Rochester, New Hampshire, has been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after he lost control of his 2006 Dodge Dakota and became wedged under a tractor-trailer traveling northbound near mile marker 12. Police say an investigation determined Lehoullier traveled from the leftmost lane of the highway across the rest of the lanes and allegedly slammed into the big rig.
The truck driver, 48-year-old Steve Mercie of Quebec, Canada, was able to come to a safe stop, but not before dragging the pickup truck almost 400 feet, police said. Mercie was not harmed in the accident.
Lehoullier was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries and released. Upon his release he was arrested.
Lehoullier has now been released on bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 20 at the 10th Circuit Portsmouth District Court.
