Biden’s Vaccine Mandate Unveiled: Truckers Must Get Jab… Test Weekly… Or Lose Job

Washington D.C. — Truckers employed by carriers with at least 100 employees must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination by early next year or face losing their job.

The Biden Administration’s highly controversial vaccine mandate for large businesses was unveiled on Thursday by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

“OSHA has determined that many employees in the U.S. who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 face grave danger from exposure to SARS-CoV-2 in the workplace,” the 490-page emergency temporary standard (ETS) states. “OSHA has also determined that an ETS is necessary to protect unvaccinated workers from the risk of contracting COVID-19 at work.”

The ETS forces employers with 100 employees or more to require employees to be fully vaccinated by January 4, 2022, or ensure all unvaccinated employees wear a facial covering and provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test each week.

Employers are not required to pay for the testing but are required to provide up to four hours of paid leave to employees for the purpose of vaccination.

Additionally, the ETS requires employers to also provide a “reasonable time,” including paid sick leave, to employees who suffer side effects from the vaccine.

Employees can apply for a medical, disability, and/or religious exemption, but individuals qualifying for these exemptions would still be considered unvaccinated and thus subject to testing and masking requirements.

Further, OSHA is not recognizing natural immunity as a legitimate reason for an exemption.

Non-compliance violations deemed “serious” could result in penalties of up to $13,653 per instance.

However, if the violation is deemed “willful” or “repeated,” the maximum penalty could reach up to $136,532 per violation.

The ETS will take effect on December 5, 2021, which is 30 days from publication.

OSHA estimated the ETS will save more than 6,500 worker lives and prevent more than 250,000 hospitalizations over the next six months.

Enforcement of this temporary rule — which the Biden Administration has signaled it intends to make permanent — will prove challenging for OSHA as the Agency has approximately 1,850 inspectors responsible to ensure the compliance of roughly 130 million workers at 8 million workplaces.

The Biden Administration said OSHA will target companies as it gets complaints.

  1. Good luck with forcing that rule. You think supply chain is in bad shape wait till you mess with the essential workers that was only good to be called that when you need something but when it came to rewarding like teachers, first responders, and departments store workers the government jump straight to it! I can’t wait for you to put your business in the cross hairs to be put a horrible situation.

  2. I’m glad I’m an O/O. No one tells me when I can take a break or stop driving. If this so-called president thinks that he can tell America
how to ;live and work, he has another thought coming. Americans won’t stand for anyone telling them how to live or how to keep their
families safe. If the government thinks there are supply shortages now, wait until the drivers of America say NO to his mandate. Gas, food,
clothing, etc. Who will deliver these items to the warehouses, stores? Major trucking companies like J.B. Hunt, Werner, Swift, just to name a few
will kiss the ass of the democrats and force their people to get vaccinated. As for the O/O’s who is going to tell them that they need to get jabbed?
I for one am not gonna let anyone tell me what to do with my life. God has a plan for each of us. If God wants me there isn’t a damn thing I can do
about it. I’ll be gone. SCREW YOU OSHA, BIDEN, AND THE REST OF THE DEMOCRATS!!!!!
