Bird Causes Big Rig Accident Sending Buckets of Paint Pouring into Median
Lebanon County, PA – Police in Pennsylvania say a bird is to blame for a rollover accident that sent dozens of buckets of white paint pouring into the median along Interstate 81 on Sunday.
The incident occurred early Sunday morning in the northbound lanes of I-81 near mile marker 86.
According to authorities, a bird flew into the windshield on the passenger side of the rig, causing the driver to lose control.
The Sherwin-Williams truck flipped and the load of white paint went pouring into the median.
Police said the trucker was able to exit the truck on his own power.
However, he was transported to a local hospital.
His identity has not been released by officials and the extent of his injuries are unknown.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation was on-scene for hours cleaning up the paint.
The northbound lanes were closed as cleaning crews worked.
