Bobtail Goes BAM Into Atlanta Motel
Atlanta, Georgia – A bobtail semi slammed into an Atlanta-area motel on Thursday, according to police.
Atlanta police Officer Jarius Daugherty said the semi crashed into the Airway Motel at approximately 9:15 a.m. Atlanta Fire Rescue spokesman Sgt. Cortez Stafford told AJC that the truck went “partially” into the side of the Airway Motel in the 700 block of Fulton Industrial Boulevard.

Police say the semi plowed through a parked limousine before slamming into the one-story building. The truck driver allegedly ran from the scene, according to authorities, but was later apprehended.
The truck driver’s identity, the cause of the accident, and the charges against him have not been released. A woman was inside the motel room that was impacted, but she was able to escape by climbing out of a back window. She was uninjured in the crash.
