CAT Scale Increases Prices For First Time Since 2019

Walcott, IA – The price of CAT Scale weighs and re-weighs have increased as of Friday, March 26, 2021.

In a notice from Rick Wachal, CAT Scale’s Vice President of Operations, all managers were instructed to increase the price of a weigh from $12 to $12.50.


The price of a re-weigh also increased by 50-cents, going from $2.50 to $3.

In Canada, the price of a weigh has increased to $22 (CAD) and $6 (CAD) for a re-weigh.

Wachal informed managers the new prices would be updated into CAT Scale equipment via the modem at 12:01 a.m. local time on March 26.

All CAT Scale locations were instructed to adjust the price in Point of Sale equipment.

CAT Scale did not increase prices in 2020.


The company’s last price increase occurred on September 18, 2019, preceded by an April 2018 increase.

CAT Scale has over 2,025 locations throughout the United States and Canada, making the company the largest truck scale network in the world, according to its website.

  1. Not much of an increase…however, keeping the so- called ” coin shortage ” in mind, and for those who pay by cash, which I assume most do, that can allegedly add to that coin shortage..just saying..
