
Flatbed Giant Acquires 100-Truck Fleet Founded More Than 40 Years Ago
Birmingham, AL — PS Logistics today announced one of its subsidiaries has completed the acquisition of a flatbed carrier founded more than 40 years ago.
In a release, PS Logistics said its subsidiary DMT Trucking, LLC, has purchased “substantially all transportation assets” of Broken Bow, OK-based Daryl Thomason Trucking, Inc.
Daryl Thomason Trucking has approximately 108 trucks and 167 53-foot flatbed trailers.
The flatbed company was founded in 1978 by Daryl Thomason and his wife Shelly and began with just one truck.
PS Logistics said the transaction will further strengthen its operations in the Southwest U.S. and provide it with additional terminals in Broken Bow, OK, and Nashville, AR.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Since 2014, PS Logistics has acquired 22 trucking and logistics operations with its most recent purchase came in August of this year when it acquired Houston-based Patriot Transit, a flatbed operation with 75 truck drivers.
The Birmingham, AL-based mega carrier is now one of the largest and fastest growing flatbed transportation and logistics providers in the U.S. boasting more than 2,000 power units and 4,000 trailers.
