Trucker Claims Load Was “Heavy Enough” to NOT be Strapped Down
Atlanta, GA – Georgia law enforcement officials say a truck driver recently tried to talk his way out of a load securement violation with a unique excuse.
In a post on Monday to its Facebook page, the Georgia Department of Public Safety (GDPS) says a trucker was recently stopped for not properly securing his load.
An image from the scene reveals the load of wood strewn across the roadway.
According to GDPS, when questioned, the driver argued the load he was hauling was “heavy enough to not be strapped down.”
GDPS says “not a single strap was used.”
Officials reminded drivers the “Properly Secure the Load – Every Time.”
