
GRAPHIC: Arizona Officials Release Horrific Dash Cam of Deadly Wrong-Way Collision
Phoenix, AZ – The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) has released disturbing dash cam video from a fatal wrong-way collision involving a commercial truck and a passenger vehicle.
The horrific crash occurred on January 4, 2020, at approximately 2:45 a.m. along the southbound lanes of Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, 31-year-old Josafath Rubio-Hernandez, was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes as he approached the big rig.
The trucker can be heard yelling “Oh my God! Oh my God! Wrong-way driver!” as Rubio-Hernandez’s vehicle comes into view.
The trucker attempts to evade Rubio-Hernandez, but is unable and the two collide in a violent crash.
Rubio-Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators in this case are still trying to determine what caused Rubio-Hernandez to drive the wrong way.
Officials have not yet ruled out the involvement of drugs and/or alcohol.
The trucker did not report any physical injuries.
However, many truckers involved in these kind of accidents often report to Transportation Nation Nation (TNN) that they suffer emotional and psychological harm.
These scars often last for many years.
