Icy Conditions Lead To 8-Vehicle Crash Involving Multiple Big Rigs In Arizona
Parks, Arizona – Authorities said icy roads, slick conditions and speed all contributed to an 8-vehicle crash involving multiple big rigs along I-40 Thursday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS), the crash happened around 8:45 a.m. along westbound I-40 just west of Flagstaff.
Authorities said a tour bus came to rest pinned between two big rigs as a result of the crash.
At least two people were injured, DPS confirmed.
However, no fatalities were reported.
DPS said travelers experienced “sizable” backups as a result of the accident.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
