Inspection Blitz in VA and NC Nets 667 Violations, Sidelines More Than 100 CMVs and Drivers
Richmond, VA — A recent commercial motor vehicle (CMV) enforcement operation in Virginia and North Carolina sidelined more than 100 vehicles and drivers.
According to the Virginia State Patrol (VSP), officers inspected 702 CMVs during a recent three-day safety enforcement blitz conducted on Interstate 81 in Virginia and Interstate 77 in North Carolina.
VSP said a total of 667 violations were discovered resulting in 51 CMVs and 64 drivers being placed out-of-service (OOS).
