Love’s to ‘Increase Capacity’ After Opening New Tire Retread Plant in Oklahoma
Oklahoma City, OK — Love’s Travel Stops announced on Tuesday the opening of a 220,000-square-foot tire retread plant and distribution center in El Reno, OK.
In a press release, the company stated the new location in Oklahoma replaces the retread plant and distribution center in Grand Prairie, TX.
With the new facility being double the size of the Texas plant, the company stated its ability to “increase capacity and better serve customers.”
“The new facility in El Reno is a great location to serve our most valuable customers and develop and distribute products to the surrounding towns and states,” said Steve Phillips, director of tire sales and plant operations for Love’s. “This location allows us to provide greater coverage, so our customers can get back on the road quickly and safely.”
The new locations create approximately 50 jobs in the area, according to Love’s.
There are currently six retread plants across the U.S. located in Locust Gove, GA; Mooresville, IN; Kingman, AZ; Laredo, TX; Milan, TN; and El Reno, OK.
