Man Dies After Jumping From Interstate Overpass Into Path of Big Rig

Van Buren, AR – An Arkansas man committed suicide by truck on Tuesday, according to the Arkansas State Police (ASP).

The incident occurred at approximately 10:55 a.m. near exit 3 on Interstate 40 in Van Buren.


Officials stated Dillon Allen Wynn, 26, of Ozark, jumped from the Lee Creek Road overpass onto I-40 below.

Wynn landed on top of a tractor-trailer traveling eastbound along the interstate.

He then “rolled off the trailer and fell onto the [road]way,” according to ASP.

Wynn was rushed to a hospital in Fort Smith, where he later succumbed to his injuries.


No information was given regarding the trucker.

Additionally, it is not known if the driver sustained any injuries.
