Motorist Pulls Shotgun on Trucker and Opens Fire, Washington Police Say

King County, WA — Authorities in Washington are asking for the public’s help to identify a motorist who opened fire on a trucker operating on Snoqualmie Pass last week.

Washington State Patrol (WSP) investigators reported the shooting occurred on Friday, January 21, along westbound Interstate 90 near milepost 32.




 

WSP said a person in a white passenger vehicle fired on a big rig, striking the door and also causing interior damage.

The truck driver, whose identity was not released, said once he heard the gunfire he then observed a passenger pull a shotgun back into the vehicle.

Thankfully, the trucker did not suffer any physical injuries, WSP said.




 

WSP did not indicate what the shooter’s motive may have been.
