Nevada Highway Patrol Has a Message For This ‘Wrong Way’ Amazon Trucker

Sparks, NV – The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) dished out a “Prime” reason why motorists — especially truckers — should follow road signs last week.

On Tuesday, February 23, NHP took to social media to report a recent incident involving an Amazon Prime tractor-trailer.

The photo from the scene showed the Amazon truck attempting to make a U-turn from the dirt shoulder back onto the roadway.

“Here’s a prime example of why roadway signs aren’t just suggestions,” NHP wrote.

NHP explained the driver of the big rig “decided to go [the] wrong way multiple times before getting stuck and blocking traffic” along a one-way street.

While the one-way road impacted by the incident was not identified, Western Village Inn & Casino, located at 815 Nichols Blvd., in Sparks can be seen in the background.

The name of the driver was not disclosed, but NHP spoke directly to the driver by saying, “#YoureDoingItWrong.”

“Your 2-day shipping might now take 3…” NHP predicted as a result.

NHP did not specify the citation the trucker received, but alluded to it by hash tagging: #AskAlexaAboutThisCitation
