Oh So Close Call Caught On Dash Cam

West Fork, Arkansas – New dash cam video shows a close call for emergency responders after a big rig clipped a pickup truck along I-49 on Saturday.

Emergency responders were working an accident Saturday morning along I-49 when a big rig was caught on dash cam video striking the rear of a pickup truck nearly resulting in a disastrous outcome.

West Fork Police (WFP) posted the dash cam video of the incident to its Facebook page with this message:

It is very important for everyone to slow down and move over when you see emergency vehicles on the side of the road!!

The video was taken from a police cruiser and shows emergency responders working the scene of an earlier accident as passenger vehicles begin to slow.

A big rig then clips the back of a pickup truck sending it off of the roadway and onto the shoulder.

Emergency crew officials are seen running in fear to avoid being struck.

The tractor-trailer then maneuvers through the slowed traffic without striking any other vehicles, according to police.

Fortunately, no one was injured, investigators said.

However, WFP said it could have been “much worse.”

Tyler Underwood with WFP attributed the close call to motorists as well as the trucker traveling too fast in the rainy conditions.
