OOIDA: Standing Up For Truckers

[Video originally posted on December 20, 2010 by Jan Sturmann]

For over 35 years the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA), with over 150,000 members, has been fighting for the rights of all professional truckers. This video profiles two members who I met at the Flying J truck stop in Lodi, California.

The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association is the only national trade association representing the interests of small-business trucking professionals and professional truck drivers. The Association currently has more than 157,000 members nationwide. OOIDA was established in 1973 and is headquartered in the Greater Kansas City, Mo., area.
