Pilot Flying J Close Stores Across Texas Due to Widespread Power Outages

Knoxville, TN – Pilot Flying J has closed more than 20 stores across Texas and multiple others due to widespread power outages caused by Winter Storm Uri.

In a statement from the truck stop giant, Pilot Flying J said it has been closely tracking Uri.

“Safety is our number one priority for our team members, your drivers and our guests,” Pilot Flying J stated to its fleet customers.


In addition to widespread store closures across Texas, stores are also closed in Louisiana and Tennessee.

The following locations are closed due to power outages.

• #580 Odessa, Texas
• #725 Baytown, Texas
• #738 Tye, Texas
• #740 Brookshire, Texas
• #883 Canton, Texas
• #1023 Lufkin, Texas
• #1028 Buffalo, Texas
• #1105 Bunkie, Louisiana
• #1161 Odessa, Texas
• #1248 Wilmer, Texas
• #1285 Santo, Texas
• #1304 Fort Worth, Texas
• #3807 Mesquite, Texas

So far, winter storm Uri has wreaked havoc across the south.


At least seven states, including Alabama, Oregon, Oklahoma, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi and Texas, have each declared the storm a statewide emergency.

The impact has been most adversely felt in Texas though as more than 4 million power outages have been reported and rolling blackouts began overnight.
