Planning Continues for Walcott Truckers Jamboree, Lonestar to Headline Concerts

Walcott, IA – The 41st annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree set for July 9-11, 2020, remains on schedule, according to show organizers.

“We are continuing with our planning for this year’s event and remain optimistic that we will be able to celebrate America’s truckers come July,” Heather DeBaillie, vice president of marketing for the Iowa 80 group, organizers of the Walcott Truckers Jamboree, told Transportation Nation Network (TNN) on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, organizers of the mid-summer trucking tradition released a line-up of musical acts scheduled to perform at this year’s show.

Headlining and performing on Friday, July 10, will be country music group Lonestar.

The long-time band boasts smash hits such as “Amazed, “I’m Already There,” and “My Front Porch Looking In.”

Also performing will be Casey Muessigmann, known from his participation in NBC’s popular singing competition, The Voice.

Muessigmann is set to perform on Thursday, July 9.

The concerts are free for attendees.

“We are looking forward to summer, lots of trucks and live music,” said DeBaillie. “The Walcott Truckers Jamboree is the very best way to celebrate America’s truckers and we can’t wait for everyone to experience this great entertainment line-up.”

DeBaillie also indicated additional musical acts are expected to be added in the coming weeks.

The Jamboree is fun for the whole family with plenty of things to see and do such as the Super Truck Beauty Contest, Antique Truck Display, Iowa pork chop cookout, over 150 exhibits, Trucker Olympics, carnival games, two fireworks displays, and a 100th birthday party for Iowa 80 Trucking Museum’s 1920 GMC and more.

Admission and parking are free and complimentary shuttles will be provided from the parking area to the event grounds.
