Police Ask For Help to Identify Suspect Who Allegedly Opened Fire on Trucker Making U-Turn

New Orleans, LA — Police in Louisiana are asking for help to identify a man suspected of opening fire on a trucker at an intersection.

According to the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) Fifth District, the shooting occurred on November 9, 2021, at the intersection of Saint Claude Avenue and Port Street.


Investigators said a truck driver had just delivered a load to a nearby location when at approximately 7 p.m. two unidentified males walked in front of the tractor-trailer as he was attempting to make a u-turn.

One of the men then began yelling at the trucker before brandishing a black semiautomatic pistol and opening fire, NOPD reported.

The shooter fired four shots striking the rig.

Thankfully, the truck driver, who police did not identify, was not injured in the attack.


The shooter and the other individual then walked away from the scene.

The alleged perpetrator is described as a black male, approximately 5’8” in height with a thin-to-medium build and a dark complexion.

He was wearing a red and black Hoodie with the word “Privileged” in white and red on the chest.

The subject was also wearing a black ski mask and khaki pants.
