Police Find “Missing” Truck Driver “Naked” And “Intoxicated” Inside Of His Truck
Graves County, Kentucky – A truck driver who was reported “missing” by a trucking company was found intoxicated and naked inside of his truck, and later charged with DUI this week in Kentucky.
The Graves County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Washington, D.C., man on Wednesday after D2 Express, a truckload carrier based in Chicago, IL, reported one of their drivers and the truck “missing.” Chief Sheriff’s Deputy Davant Ramage said they received a call alerting them to the situation from the trucking company.
The trucking company told authorities the missing driver was last known traveling along Interstate 69 near Mayfield, Kentucky. Deputies were then able to locate the truck and the driver, Lawrence McCrimmon, 55, at the 18-mile marker.
According to deputies, McCrimmon was naked inside the truck and under the influence of an intoxicating substance. Drug paraphernalia including a pipe was found. The pipe field-tested positive for cocaine according to the police report.
McCrimmon was observed slurring his words as he tried to speak and could not stand without falling over, according to Ramage. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Once released, he was charged with DUI (first offense under aggravating circumstances), first-degree possession of cocaine (first offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to Graves County Jail.
