Police Say Identifying the Logo on This 18-Wheeler Could Help Solve a Murder Case
Lewisville, TX – Police in Texas are asking for help from truckers to identify a big rig they believe may lead them to information that could aid in solving a murder case.
According to the Lewisville Police Department (LPD), the victim called 9-1-1 just before 2 a.m. on Monday, April 20, saying he had been shot during a robbery attempt.
He told the 9-1-1 responder he was shot by two individuals, who ran away before authorities were called.
The victim, who was identified by police only as a 54-year-old man, was located at a business on the 900 block of Valley Ridge Blvd.
He was transported to an area hospital by paramedics, but later succumbed to his injuries, according to an LPD press release.
Authorities did not obtain a physical description of the two suspects, and on Thursday, the LPD took to social media to ask for help.
LPD posted a photo of an 18-wheeler asking for help identifying the logo on the trailer.
Authorities were clear the driver of the semi is not considered a suspect or person of interest in the attempted robbery and subsequent murder, but believe the trucker may have information that could help solve the case.
Anyone with information is being asked to call (972) 219-TIPS (8477) or text the phrase “TIPLPD” and information to 847411.
Tipsters can remain anonymous, LPD said.
