Popular Oklahoma Truck Stop A “Total Loss” After Early Morning Fire

Sallisaw, Oklahoma – A popular truck stop along I-40 in Oklahoma was destroyed by an early morning fire on Friday.

The Sallisaw Fire Department said they responded to the scene, along with police and other investigators, to find Ed’s Truck Stop ablaze. The iconic truck stop, located at 2412 E. Cherokee Ave. (U.S. 64) in Sallisaw, is known for displaying 1950s-style, classic memorabilia.

It’s also home of Ed’d Diner and its trademark Lincoln Continental convertible. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Authorities say the building is a total loss. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
