Questions Surround Death Of Truck Driver This Morning Along I-91
Wallingford, CT – Connecticut State Police have confirmed the truck driver found in his cab this morning along I-91 is deceased.
State Police say the single vehicle crash happened about 4:40 a.m. when they got a call of a crash with injuries near exit 14 on I-91 north. Police identified the driver as Ashley Bennett of Unionville New York. Authorities say the truck had driven off the highway and down an embankment.
Sources also indicated that the truck engine was cold when authorities arrived on the scene, indicating the truck may have been there for quite some time. Did the driver have a medical episode, fall asleep or was foul play involved? We are still awaiting answers.
