The deadly chain reaction crash occurred near mile marker 184 during a winter storm.
On Monday, Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) officials initially indicated four people perished in the crash.
However, that number has since been reduced to three, according to the Casper Star-Tribune.

“Any further details are pending next-of-kin notifications,” Mower said in a statement to the Star-Tribune.
A second pileup occurred on eastbound I-80 around milepost 181 and involved 30-40 vehicles, Beck said.
No one perished in that crash, but one person suffered critical injuries.
