SEARCH: Police Asking For Help to Find Trucker Suspected of Sex Trafficking

McLennan County, TX – Authorities are searching for a truck driver suspected of sex trafficking after an alleged victim was rescued from a truck stop in Waco, TX last week.

According to the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), deputies responded to a call for help last Tuesday from a woman at a Flying J truck stop located on South New Road.

The alleged victim reportedly called the National Human Trafficking Hotline which then notified MCSO of her whereabouts.

MCSO says the woman, who is from Canada and in her 50s, told officials a trucker had forced her to perform sex acts at numerous truck stops across multiple states.

Authorities say the woman claims the trafficking began two months earlier at a truck stop in the California Bay Area.

Officials confirmed to local news outlet KWTX she is now “in a safe place.”

However, the search for the suspected trafficker is ongoing.

Officials released a photo of the the big rig (see above) the trucker is likely operating.

MCSO is asking for the public’s help to identify the trucker wanted for questioning.

If you recognize the semi you are asked to call the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office at (254) 757-5170 or the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888.
