Shocking Video Of Man Pushing Passerby Into Path Of Oncoming Box Truck

Los Angeles, California – A homeless man was arrested after pushing a passerby into the oncoming path of a box truck on Wednesday in L.A. The shocking incident was all caught on a surveillance video.

LAPD says the victim of the attack was left with broken bones and a collapsed lung after he was violently pushed in front of and struck by a box truck in downtown L.A. He remains in critical condition in a local area hospital.

The incident happened after 10 a.m. in the 300 block of West 6th Street downtown. Fortunately, the truck driver was able to react quickly enough not to kill the victim.

The suspect was later taken into custody by LAPD after surveillance video of the attack was released and local firefighters saw it and recognized the attacker. “It was definitely the bright neon rain jacket and the baggy pants, and just the demeanor the guy had,” firefighter Austen Johnson said.

LAPD says the attacker was combative and did not have any identification. He is expected to be charged with attempted murder. Police have not said what prompted the attacker to commit such an act of disregard and violence.
