TA-Petro Gives Truckers Sneak Peek at $200M in Upgrades to Parking, Showers, and More
Westlake, OH – A major truck stop chain is giving truckers a sneak peek at what is expected to be a nearly $200 million plan to upgrade more than 100 locations.
In a newly released video, TA-Petro unveiled details about capital investments aimed at improving the customer experience specifically for professional drivers.
“We’re investing almost $200 million to improve our sites and we’re really focused on areas that matter the most to our professional drivers,” said Jonathan Pertchick, CEO of TA-Petro. “Those are our showers, parking areas, restaurants, restrooms and our convenience stores.”
Truckers will enjoy new countertops, shower heads, sinks, floors, lighting and paint, TA-Petro promised.
The renovation plans also include upgrading the “majority” of its truck parking lots.
Additionally, truckers can expect new amenities in many of TA-Petro’s lounges.
“The driver’s lounge is being redone with awesome chairs, new televisions and new flooring,” stated Jamie Hubbard, a TA-Petro senior vice president. “When our guests come in we want them to see a bright, new environment.”
The truck stop giant says it is “refreshing” more than 100 locations with these upgrades by the end of 2022.
The company chose “National Truck Driver Appreciation Week” to release the nearly 3-minute video showing truckers what they can expect in the months ahead.
