Indiana TA Store Damaged by Fire Reopens

TA recently announced its Seymour, IN location which was damaged by fire last month has since reopened.

An early morning fire ripped through parts of a TA located at 2636 East Tipton Street in the early morning hours of July 6.

An investigation revealed the fire started in an electrical utility room near the travel center’s kitchen.

According to authorities, the Seymour Fire Department responded to the scene and was able to quickly contain the fire before the damage could spread beyond the building’s West side.

TA said that employees “helped paint and clean up the site” over a two-week period following the fire.

“While the site is not quite back to business-as-usual, with the help of the employees, it reopened the diesel and gasoline lanes, Truck Service and a small, makeshift convenience store by Aug. 10,” TA said in a social media post.
