
Thousands of Potatoes Spill Out After Big Rig Topples Over
Hillsboro, OR – A big rig hauling a load of potatoes overturned on Friday afternoon along Highway 26 sending thousands of potatoes tumbling out and onto the roadway.
According to the Hillsboro Police Department, a big rig hauling potatoes toppled over along the eastbound on-ramp to Highway 26 from Cornelius Pass Road.
The accident sent potatoes spilling out across the roadway.
Authorities say they had to close Cornelius Pass Road for a time in order to clear the scene.
The Hillsboro Police Department tweeted images from the scene.
The eastbound on-ramp to Hwy. 26 from southbound Cornelius Pass Rd. is closed due to an overturned semi. There are no injuries, but potatoes everywhere. Please use alternate routes. pic.twitter.com/xWNl1hHjHO

Authorities did not say what caused the accident.
Thankfully, no one was injured.
