Tractor-Trailer Slides Out Of Control And Plows U-Haul And Tow Truck

Uinta County, Wyoming – A truck driver lost control of his tractor-trailer and plowed into a tow truck assisting a U-haul truck creating a fiery scene along Interstate 80 on February 24.

In a Facebook post, Uinta County Fire & Rescue said they were called to the scene of the blaze last Sunday morning on eastbound I-80 near mile marker 46. Officials reported that as a U-haul truck was being pulled out of the median by a tow truck when a semi-truck lost control on the icy roadway and struck both vehicles.


Images from the scene tell the scary tale. Officials said the tow truck driver was able to run from the collision before the big rig made impact, while the driver of the U-haul was not so fortunate.



The U-haul driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the semi was uninjured.



The truck driver was hauling a load of apples for BLT Transport based in Kent, Washington.
