
Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Texas Trucker After Police Discover Narcotics in Sleeper
Nashville, TN – A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a Texas trucker on Thursday after police discovered 50 lbs. of narcotics.
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said an officer conducted a stop of a tractor-trailer Thursday afternoon along Interstate 40.
An MNPD dog (pictured above) alerted to the rig.
A further search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of two bags in the sleeper containing “more than 50 lbs. of white powder, presumed to be Fentanyl,” MNPD said.

The truck driver, identified as 48-year-old Danny Rhodes of El Paso, TX, was taken into custody.
