Truck Driver Shot This Morning At Truck Stop In Dallas

Dallas, Texas – On the very day Transportation Nation Network released part I of our new 3-part editorial series “Guns In Trucks” another trucker has been shot.

This time it happened early Monday morning in a southeastern Dallas parking lot. The victim, a truck driver, told police he had just parked his tractor-trailer at Marlow’s Truck Stop in the 21oo block of Silverado Drive, near C.F. Hawn Freeway, and was walking away from his rig when he was approached by a man. The man asked the victim what he was doing, according to police.

The gunman then brandished a silver handgun and shot the victim in the arm Dallas police spokeswoman Tamika Dameron said. The gunman fled the scene and is still at-large. The victim was transported to a nearby by hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

This investigation is ongoing and we will bring you the latest information as it becomes available.
