Trucker Blames Brake Failure For Late Night Semi-Truck Drive Thru

Dale, IN – A semi-truck crashed through the front door of a fast food restaurant on Wednesday night in Spencer County, Indiana.

According to investigators, the accident happened at approximately 10 p.m. at a Wendy’s located just off Highway 231 near I-64.

Police indicated a trucker was hooking up his trailer when he said his semi-brakes failed causing the truck to careen into the restaurant.

The truck smashed through the front door and continued on nearly splitting the entire building in half.

Investigators said the truck split the kitchen and dining room and eventually came to rest after crashing into the back wall.

Five employees were reportedly inside at the time, but incredibly no injuries were reported, police said.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
