Trucker Denies Falling Asleep Before 11-Vehicle Pileup, Says Motorist Cut Him Off
Houston, Texas – A truck driver is suspected of falling asleep in the moments leading up to an 11-vehicle pileup Monday morning along I-45.
According to authorities, a two-car crash slowed traffic along northbound I-45 Monday morning when at approximately 6:00 a big rig was unable to stop in time and plowed into traffic.
Investigators suspected the trucker fell asleep.
However, according to a report from ABC13, the truck driver denied he dozed off.
He instead blamed the crash on being unable to stop after a motorist cut him off.
The truck driver’s dash cam video of the crash has been released and you can view it by clicking HERE.
Two children and an adult were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
A Harris County Precinct 4 deputy was also involved in the crash.
