Trucker Escapes Unscathed After Train Obliterates Big Rig ‘Caught’ Between Barrier Arms

Irving, TX – A trucker is fortunate to be alive after his big rig was obliterated by a train in Irving this week.

The incident was captured on video by a motorist and has since made its rounds on social media.

The eight-second long video clip shows a white tractor-trailer pausing at the railroad crossing at North MacArthur Boulevard between the West Irving Station and Downtown Irving/Heritage Crossing Station.

The crossing had its barriers down and red flashing lights engaged.

The truck can then be seen suddenly attempting to cross the tracks as the train’s horn is blaring in the background.

The train — operated by Trinity Railway Express — strikes the trailer, quickly pushing the big rig out of view.
