Trucker Has a Day on Donner Pass He’d Like to Forget

Truckee, CA – A trucker had a day he would probably like to forget on Thursday while navigating Donner Pass in California.

According to California Highway Patrol-Truckee, an accident involving a big rig caused an hours-long traffic backup along eastbound Interstate 80.

Investigators said a tractor-trailer jackknifed on Donner Pass resulting in a lane blockage.

The accident forced officials to close I-80 eastbound to all traffic on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency crews worked to clear the area and were able to re-open the stretch of I-80 by early evening.

Officials did not say what likely led to the crash.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
