Ontario County Sheriff Kevin Henderson has now identified the victim as 65-year-old trucker, Brian Perry, of Kirkwood, NY.
Henderson said Perry’s body was discovered behind a Home Depot store near Eastview Mall in Victor on Wednesday afternoon.
According to investigators, the independent contractor delivered his load to the retail giant shortly after 12 p.m.
Investigators said Perry was performing a pre-check inspection before departing when he became pinned between the trailer and a tire.
Authorities report Perry was underneath the rig making adjustments to his trailer when it shifted and crushed him.
Authorities said Perry’s body was not discovered until more than an hour after the fatal accident occurred.
