Trucker Suffers “Medical Emergency,” Crashes Into Apartment Building

Spring Green, Wisconsin – A truck driver hauling a flatbed suffered a “medical emergency” and crashed into an apartment building in Spring Green on Monday.

According to Spring Green police, they were called to the scene of the crash at 2:30 p.m. Initial reports indicated the driver was traveling in the area working on a landscaping project when he suffered a “medical emergency” along Hoxie Street and Peterson Street.


The driver then veered off of the roadway and struck the apartment while traveling southbound on Hoxie Street. Emergency crews responded and transported the driver to a nearby hospital for life-saving treatment. The condition of the driver is not yet known.

Authorities said there were residents inside the apartment building at the time of the crash but no injuries were reported. The building sustained significant damage to the lower level and the truck sustained only minor damage, according to investigators.
