Trucker Who Won $298.3 Million Jackpot Tells Kimmel Who He’s Never Talking To Again

Brooklyn, New York – It’s been a little more than a month since 56-year-old truck driver David Johnson discovered he had hit the jackpot, the $298.3 million Powerball jackpot that is.

Johnson, who bought the winning ticket at a gas station on the morning after Christmas, received his new riches on January 30. He appeared on the late-night talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, last week to talk about how his life had changed.

Kimmel jokingly said he had recently taken a DNA test that conclusively proved he was a “close cousin” with Johnson. Johnson chuckled, but there is little doubt he has already faced a barrage of people asking for some of his $114 million lump sum winnings.

After learning of his fortune, Johnson famously told NBC News, “I’m rich. I don’t gotta go to work no more.” He humorously echoed those sentiments once again on Kimmel’s show.

Kimmel asks Johnson, “Now that you’re rich is there anyone in your life you’re going to make sure to never talk to again?” Johnson lets out a big laugh and says, “Yeah man! My boss!” The audience then erupts into laughter.
