Truckers ‘Conscious and Breathing’ Following Collision Between Multiple Big Rigs

Bernalillo County, NM – Authorities in New Mexico confirmed two truckers were “conscious and breathing” after a multiple big rig collision on Interstate 40 on Monday evening.

According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), the accident occurred in the westbound lanes of I-40 near exit 134.

BCSO did not release much information surrounding the details of the crash, other than to report it involved “multiple semi-trucks.”


The exact number is unknown at this time.

The right lane was closed for cleanup and while investigators were on scene, causing traffic to slow in the area.

The extent of the injuries to the truckers involved is also unknown at this time.
