Trucker’s Life Rescued Moments Before Train Crash

Centerville, Utah – An off-duty police officer is crediting a truck driver for helping save the life of another trucker moments before his truck was impacted by a train. Sgt. Kevin McLachlan was driving to the police station from Davis County, when he came upon a serious accident along Interstate 15. He stopped to find a truck driver desperately trying to help another trucker who was pinned inside the cab of his truck. They were able to rescue the driver and avert a tragedy. Sgt. McLachlan says, “It was a miracle no one was injured.” The rescued driver of the truck is suspected of drowsy driving though he has not yet been cited.
