Trucking Leaders Testify at Senate Transportation and Safety Subcommittee Hearing

Washington D.C. – Leaders from the Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) and the American Trucking Associations (ATA) expressed a multitude of concerns about the state of the trucking industry in a U.S. Senate hearing on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.

Topics include: automated vehicles, Highway Trust Fund, ELD mandate, big rig parking shortage, DRIVE Safe Act, speed limiters, federal fuel taxes, expansion and regulation of 5g, and much more.

The panel includes: OOIDA Executive Vice President, Lewie Pugh; ATA President, Chris Spear; and representatives from the Livestock Marketing Association, the Truck Safety Coalition, and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance.
