USDOT Grounds Aerial Drone Capturing Stunning Images of Biden’s Border Crisis
Del Rio, TX – The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) has grounded an aerial drone being used to capture stunning images of the ongoing crisis unfolding at America’s southern border.
Fox News, one of the only national media outlets reporting on the growing crisis at America’s southern border, has been updating viewers on developments in Del Rio, TX, where more than 10,000 Haitian migrants have gathered under the Del Rio International Bridge in hopes the Biden Administration will allow them to successfully claim refugee status.
The bridge connects the border cities of Del Rio, TX and Ciudad Acuña, Mexico.
Thousands more migrants are reportedly currently en route to the bridge to join the growing crowd.
Fox has been deploying an aerial drone to report on the incredible scenes of the worsening humanitarian crisis.
However, in a disturbing development on Thursday evening, the USDOT’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a two-week Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) over the Del Rio International Bridge.
According to Bill Melugin, a Fox News correspondent who has been covering the ongoing border chaos for months, this is the first time the FAA has issued a TFR.
NEW: We’ve learned that the FAA just implemented a two week TFR (Temporary Flight Restrictions) over the international bridge in Del Rio, TX, meaning we can no longer fly our FOX drone over it to show images of the thousands of migrants. He reported the FAA sent him an email explaining its decision.
“The Border Patrol requested the temporary flight restriction due to drones interfering with law enforcement flights on the border,” the email reportedly states. “As with any temporary flight restriction, media is able to call the FAA to make requests to operate in the area.”
The Biden Administration has repeatedly downplayed the record number of border apprehensions since taking power in January of this year when it promptly reversed successful Trump-era policies such as “remain in Mexico.”
The USDOT’s latest move to ground drone coverage of what is happening in Del Rio,TX, was quickly decried as a possible violation of the first amendment.
Fox’s most popular primetime host, Tucker Carlson, said the cable news giant would take action to fight the TFR.
“We won’t let the FAA control the news you get,” Carlson Tweeted on Thursday.
We won’t let the FAA control the news you get. Watch this video and see how @faanews tried to shut down our newsgathering on the southern border. That can’t happen. Our own @BillFOXLA will be back with us on @FoxNews tomorrow at 8pm ET. pic.twitter.com/4WIJCC0O4y

Is the USDOT attempting to use its power to conceal what is happening at America’s southern border?
