USDOT’s Cringeworthy Tweet Quickly Prompts Ridicule and Hilarity

Washington D.C. — The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) is drawing ridicule after a cringeworthy Tweet promoting the new $1.2 trillion infrastructure law.

On Friday, the USDOT posted quite an odd meme to social media.

In what appears to be a late-night text conversation between a couple, a woman suggestively asks, “What are you thinking about?”

The man responds with a rather long-winded reply about… what else… infrastructure.

“I’m thinking about how the new infrastructure law is going to make getting from place to place so much better over the next decade and how when combined with the Build Back Better act, it will create millions of new jobs.”

“Same,” the woman texts back.

The meme quickly prompted scorn with some of the responses being rather humorous.
