VIDEO: Tornado Topples Big Rig Injuring Truck Driver
Collier County, FL — A tornado crossed over a Florida interstate on Sunday morning and toppled a big rig causing minor injury to a truck driver.
A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) trooper’s dash camera caught the moment a tornado moved across the westbound lanes of Interstate 75 near the 96 mile marker at approximately 9:34 a.m.
Two minutes later the trooper came upon the overturned tractor-trailer.
“Thankfully only minor injury to semi truck driver!” FHP said in a social media post.
Traffic was partially blocked and backed up for a time as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
