Virginia DMV Now Allowing Truckers to Park at 10 Weigh Stations
Richmond, VA – Truckers operating in Virginia will now have more parking options as multiple weigh stations within the State are being made available for truckers to rest.
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (VDMV) announced today that truckers will be allowed to park at ten of the State’s rest areas.
In a release, VDMV says it “recognizes the important work truckers are doing during these challenging times, and we’re proud to support them by offering rest parking at 10 of our weigh stations.”
A spokesperson for VDMV advises Transportation Nation Network (TNN) it is “offering the use of 246 truck parking spaces at 10 weigh stations across the Commonwealth as rest parking for commercial drivers.”
The spaces are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until at least April 23, 2020.
