What Are The Biggest Stressors For Truckers?
Transportation Nation Featured News
Fayetteville, AR – A recently published study in the Transportation Journal sought to identify the biggest and most common psychological stressors in the lives of truck drivers. Researchers at the Sam Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas gathered and examined data from sixty-one truckers in both face-to-face interviews as well as blog posts. The drivers were simply asked to describe their experiences as a truck driver. The study found main ‘stressors’ to be ‘loneliness and loss of family life,’ ‘lack of respect from multiple parties,’ ‘health related issues and uncertainty from health related support,’ and ‘impacts of government regulation.’
